Its hard for me to have LDs, and when I do, they're quick and over with in seconds.

      I think I know why -
      It's a weird problem I've had since I was a little kid:
When I was around 5 I dreamt that a person was walking down the street.
Suddenly a big black hole ends up on the ground in the guy falls into the hole. He returns back to where he was, falls into the hole again, and repeats the process. Soon I give up on trying to think about this and the guy falls and keeps falling and falling...

Recently, I was day-dreaming about being an actor, the camera went to me and I began to act. Suddenly the camera went on some kind of railroad track and circles me. "Ok, that's stupid" I think, and bring it back.
As soon as I place the camera back it begins to go in circles again, over and over!! I wanted to continued the "scene", so I sort of carried out 2 thoughts. One of the circling camera and another of the scene. It was really hard to stop my mind from fixating on that goddamn camera!

It PISSES ME OFF! It's like there's a part of my mind that really wants me to be angry and annoyed, so it screws up a daydream and the repeats that motion over and over and over.

I'm sure you'll say "Ah just ignore it and it'll go away" but it doesn't! If I ignore it it will just keep going, like a scratched disc or something.

Anyway, this affects my LDs - without control over my mind it jumps to some random thought and I lose control and instantly wake up.

What do you guys think this is? Know any ways to solving it?

The best advice I can give you is, with experience comes skill. Keep trying. You know yourself best, and I think if you LD enough, you'll eventually overcome this obstacle. I think that this problem is not an unusual one. It all boils down to control, which is only cured by experience.

I know that... a repetitive motion in your head that won't go away. I have that with songs as well. I try to think other songs in my head to drown the first one, but if I stop, then the first one comes back... SO annoying. When I was little as well, I would somehow hear these voices talking really slowly, and I couldn't get rid of them. I didn't mind it though, it was quite cool. I don't know there's any cure, but I don't think it has that much of an effect on your dreaming

You cannot actually have more than one thought in your head at a time.
Some minds are conditioned to work like a merry go round. a thought in their head will, like you said come back again.
But considering you can't have two thoughts, try very hard to focus your thoughts on anything else. You more than likely will drift and find yourself again repeating thoughts.
Start over and begin to focus.

      Thanks for the advice guys...
Ugh, "Merry-Go-Round Minds". That's exactly it, I hate it =_=

So if I keep trying the habit will break? That's an appealing thought.
But you know, this...repetition is kinda like a ratio. If i try harder to stop it, it tries harder to piss me off, you know?

I guess that would mean if I ignored it it would go away, but that's sadly not the case =(

Armageddon, i have the EXACT same problem, i never thought of it hindering Lding though, but then again i barily have any.

Like say im "daydreaming" about a car driving, and i want it to do a jump, everytime it happens it dose a freaking backflip and i stop it and restart then jump and it wont stop doing the backflip i cant control it.

Thats just a example i made up in my mind but i know exactily what you are trying to describe. Its quite anoying somtimes.

Don't get too discouraged. Find a method or mindset that's right for you. Remember is your head, you can do what you like with it, keep some confidence

People say that you always have control over your mind - just sometimes you don't grasp it.

      I don't know...
Sometimes I feel like that's not true, you know?
