Last night was fascinating, not just because I met a friend in a dream, and apparently got a good idea of what she sounded like (unfortunately we didn't do much else, it was non-lucid I'm afraid) but I had my second instance of a dream prop that I felt I could duplicate in real life.

I've been studying balistas recently and I've been wanting to create a hand held rifle like version.
last night, I actually got to play with one!!! It was detailed and real enough that I could memorize the firing mechanism. I've drawn it down! It works! there were some problems with the design, but if I can go back again and again, then maybe in one dream I'll have the perfect model, without having to build endless prototypes! I love it! it's like some fancy simulation program, except I write my own code and build my own models effortlessly, and everything is physically accurate just like the world I live in.

has anyone had a similar experience?

That's one of the main reasons I started Lucid Dreaming.Once I dreamt of a tower, and it was the most beautiful thing I had ever seen, and I wanted to memorize it, so I could draw it when I awoke, but it changed when I started concentrating on it, and I just wanted to experience the rest of my lucid. Really cool, about your rifle though. Exciting.
