Well, I'm no expert but the first few may very well be interesting but who knows, people usually recall in great detail the last dream and are still feeling the same emotions from it. |

I was recently told that the more mundane dreams take place in the second and third stages of REM while the more interesting and surreal dreams take place in the fourth stage. My first question is whether or not this is true. |

Well, I know that you have any type of dream in any stage of sleep for the most part, but supposedly the more bizarre dreams are supposed to occur during stage four of REM. |

The longer you sleep, the more REM stages you hit. Reading exciting books, watching TV/movie, or playing video games should influence your dreams and make them more interesting. |
