      Sleep Paralysis Inside Dream??? ?

Last night I had dreamt that I experienced sleep paralysis. In my dreamworld, I began to lay down and my dream-self suddenly became paralyzed and experienced all the things (like vibrations, scary noises and images, etc) that would occur in a normal sleep paralysis episode.

It sounds confusing but what I'm trying to say is that I became paralyzed in my dream, and the hypnagogic (hypnapompic?) imagery felt as real as if I were experiencing normal sleep paralysis while awake.

I experience sleep paralysis in dreams sometimes, especially in lucid dreams, at the very start of them. I wake up' totally lucid in a dream and find I can't move. Totally like sleep paralysis and I have to break out of it before I can continue the dream.

I used to wake up in SP several times a night everynight for years. I don't wake up like that anymore. But I still get it as it's transferred over to my dreams which is rather frustrating sometimes.

I used to experience this once in a while. However, once I learned of lucid dreaming, anytime this happened it made me become lucid, and despite me being paralyzed, I would just "roll out" of myself and continue roaming my dream scape. Now I don't get these anymore. Wish I would because they are easy DILDs.

I had something like that happen to me...but instead I went to sleep in my dream, and had SP....and when it wore off, I was right back in my dream. It's in my last entry on my dream journal if you want to check it out.

Almost all of my nightmares are like this, where I either can't move or can barely move. Fortunately, I almost always become lucid in these situations, so I can wake myself up or at least be reassured that I'm not going to be harmed, but I've never successfully broken free of the paralysis. Next time it happens, I'll have to try blade5x's technique to stop the paralysis.
