      Cool I hate my dreams.

I hate my dreams, I dream about stupidly realistic dreams that only last about five seconds. And just recently I'v dreamt about me doing things that men do in bathrooms. I want to have good dreams for once!

Also, has anyone ever had one of those dreams where they own something really good (i.e. An arcade, a game record, ability to fly, etc) and then wake up and realized it isn't real, and then possibly cried or been really angry? I'v had one of them dreams but I havn't cried, I'v been really pissed off though.

It's said that most people usually dream about boring, daily things. How's your overall recall? I'm sure you have some crazy dreams but just don't remember them.

I've dreampt I had a kid. I woke up both relieved and disappointed.

Funny you say that! Because my recall is really bad noware days, I used to be able to recall stuff like this

Look at me, getting up at bloody Ten to Nine in the morning just to type out some bloody Dream I had, I could of used a NotePad but then I thought sod it. Because my writing is all shit and all that. Well anyway, it started off with in a Wedding type Place because this Dream told me somehow that this Boy in my School was getting married. So I come into the Wedding Room and there is loads of people there, so Mrs. Hammand (My old Teacher, I don't know Title) said "Where's your Class Jonathan?" "Oh there it is, over there" although I can't be sure that's exacly what she said. So I go over to these chairs and someone from my Class is sitting in one of the Chairs, don't know who. And just before I even think to look at my Chair to sit down on it, that person who was there is the first place wanted to move places. And somehow I knew some of the people in my Class were thinking "What? Why?" to put it in my words. Anyway, Laura Burke Grabbed a Chair. The Chairs were those little ones that were made for really young Children, getting back to the Dream. She grabbed a Chair and I don't remember her sitting down although she probably did, I remember thinking about grabbing a Chair and sitting next to her but I didn't for some reason. To be honest, who would want to sit next to her anyway? I'll try and remember more later and put it in as extras at the bottom or something. Anyway, I don't know why my Dreams have headed back to Palatine High School! There was this new Lady as our Support Teacher (I think that's what you call it anyway) and she was taking us for I.T. (No, I don't mean Class Teacher, I mean she was just take us into I.T.) And it was Coursework that we were doing and this bit was a Micrisoft Presentation and it was weird because (It was more like a Slide Show for Photos) I coudn't remember most of them but I remember one Photo and it was strange. My I.T. Teacher was suddenly Ms. Bateman again and as the Photo I remember was showing up on Screen (A large Projection on a White Board, I think) she started going "No No No No No" as I remember. And the Photo was a picture of her with a Splash of Water infront of her and she was half way reacting to her Splash when the Camara took the picture. You can probably guess what it would look like, it was took in a Jungle I think, or a Wood. Then I remember my Dream changed and I was in that place the Photo was took and I was on some Documentary about Animals! I can't remember if I was seperating Two Animals from fighting or supporting them fight, one was like a Giant Rat type Creature (Rather scary) and I can't remember what the other one was. Was it a Duck maybie? Anyway I don't know if I was holding the Giant Rat down and watching him lash out at the other Animal or not, but it got up to one point where I was holding my Arms out and grabbing the Giant Rat thing in my Left Hand. Somehow it gets out my Grip and starts biting me like mad which made me a bit scared also. And so all Information about the Animal in the Right Hand is gone and as far as I remember that one didn't do anything but I think they were both going absolutely crazy in this Giant Pond! I remember somehow trying to pull this Giant Rat off my Shoulder with both Hands and that shows the Animal in the Right Hand was not important doesn't it. So there you have it, another example of a Stupid Dream. If I have spelt some things wrong please tell me so I can change it, I got up at a Stupid time (in my opinion) and rushed to get my Laptop computer on before my Dream fades, I might just go to bed after all this! So yeah, thanks for reading!

P.S. about the Gaint Rat, I was also trying to protect my neck! You know like when someone tickles you and you don't like it, well this was like that but Five times worse!

That was a C&P from my DJ, but before that it, it was a C&P from MySpace. But as I said, my recall is really bad. For example, a five second dream of me masterbating (with no errection).

Any tips on getting good Dream Recall?

Well first I would take a look at your diet/lifestyle. The healthier you are, the more fresh air and exercise you get, the better your dream recall will be. Watching something like "Waking Life" before bed may help too. Something that works for me personally is telling myself that I will wake up after every dream and remember my dreams. Unfortunately I'm usually too lazy to actually write them down when I do that. But it's a great technique. In addition, getting enough sleep is important. And sometimes stress in your life can reduce recall because you might be too focused on waking life to care about dreams.

      A few things.

      1. What's 'Waking Life'?

      2. My writing is all scribbly.

      3. Is there a 'Best Exercise'?

      4. I'm guessing apples and oranges will help?

      5. Will the film 'Donny Darko' help? (I spelt that wrong.)

      1. What's 'Waking Life'?
That's an animated movie on lucid dreaming. Most people on this forum seem to like it.

      2. My writing is all scribbly.
Ummm.. ? Is that a problem?

      3. Is there a 'Best Exercise'?
I would say going for long walks would do you wonders. But find something you enjoy and stick to it.

      4. I'm guessing apples and oranges will help?
Fruit is good. And vegetables. Bananas have B6.

      5. Will the film 'Donny Darko' help? (I spelt that wrong.)
That's a crazy movie but it's not really about dreaming. I suggested Waking Life because it talks about a lot of things that we mention on this board, like different RCs... and the animation is very dream-like.

I'll have to watch it! I remember T.V. quite well. And yeah, I like Banana's but I didn't see anything about dreaming on the B6 article.

I'v still got to watch that Film Donny Darko, it looks really good. Sorry, I'm getting poked with an Off Topic Stick. I don't know why but I seem to remember stuff I watch on the internet (i.e. YouTube) more than I do on T.V.

Is it on YouTube? ('Waking Life')

Hmm I don't know actually if it's on YouTube. Does that place even show full length movies? What I do is request dvds from the library. Since a bunch of libraries are usually connected, they pretty much have anything you want. And it's free.

Yeah Donnie Darko is a cult classic. I found it a bit too depressing.

I'm going to have a look at this 'Waking Life' because it sounds interesting. I was going to watch The Butterfly Effect but our T.V. is being used alot, I was at my mums house at the time though. Aha! The internet will help (somehow)!

Waking Life is an interesting watch, but i found it rather wanky.

Note: i do not wish to insult anyone who really likes this movie, as i wouldn't be surprised if this movie was the catalyst for many people's ventures into lucidity. I merely wish to present my own view

the whole film, for me, reeked of arrogant postmodern philosophy. this is probably a bias i have due to an uninspiring extension english course i did at school that turned me off the whole thing. but hey, at least i admit it the whole rotoscope thing was very interesting and effective at times, but overused at other times.

while i would recommend this film for any aspiring lucid dreamer (even though i'm not by any means an accomplished lucid dreamer myself), i would watch it with a grain of salt so to speak. i'm not sure if that was the right phrase to use there.

some of the reality checks in it fail. i'm constantly able to turn light switches on and off, and occasionaly able to read digital clocks.

I used to have those dreams all the time with flying! Really disapointing... Nowadays I guess that if I fly in a dream I'll become lucid...

Yeah, I feel kind of down when I wake up to find out that it was a dream, but more often than that I'm just angry that I didn't get to sleep long enough to eat or do whatever I will with the goods I had... even if I don't like the food doesn't mean I can't shove it down a DCs throat and see how they react to it....

LOOOL! I get those dreams all the time! Sometimes I'm doing a school test and the time is running out and I haven't even answered a question, or I'm late for something I really had to do! Had a FA last night in which I wasn't on time for a class and I was like "oh shit... I'm missing classes because of lucid dreaming... ... OH! Maybe I'm still dreaming! ". I really like the feeling of waking up after those dreams!

It's what dreams do to you! Lol they mess you up the point you think they're real! Lol I'm jokin', when I wake up it normally takes me about two seconds to realize I'm not really married to Billie Piper, own £100000, a PS3, an Xbox 360, a Wii, An NDS lite, and have the greatest life ever.

Nah that hasn't really ever come to me in a drean, would be cool though.
