Thread: Cant use guns in my dreams

I had a dream when I was a kid where I became lucid (didn't even know there was a term or concept for it back then) and I summoned a Laser Blaster like in Star Wars. I was shooting some Stormtroopers, but it eventually stopped working. I wonder if we have a similar root problem.

Lol, that used to happen to me all the time, my whole life. I think it's pretty common. The bullets would fall out, it just wouldn't shoot, something would always happen. After coming to DV and thinking a lot more about dreaming, I was finally able to actually shoot someone (just a zombie clone, trying to kill me:p), and I got shot too (died, went into a void). So keep trying! I bet it will eventually work. It is incredibly frustrating. Use it as a dream sign, maybe it will help you get lucid.

I usually get really in to my dreams so if my gun doesnt work I grab a stick or something or bash the enemies with the broken gun. It might be cause I really like melee weapons

Is there any backstory to these random battles or are they just for their own sake?

Well I'd much rather shoot someone than stab or bludgeon them, so that explanation wouldn't work for me.

There is always a story Usually its a psycho killer or something so I have to melee fight him I always get hurt but win eventually.

I once had a psycho killer cut me with a chainsaw in a lucid dream and I laugh at him cause he cant cut me.

Even though I cant use guns in my dreams Im godlike melee and I cant die. I like know it everytime even if im not lucid so I never really try to run away
