Thread: Waking up in a dream...

It hasn't happened to me. It sounds like you could have had a really vivid dream and you dreamt that you woke up and then when in your dream you sat back on your bed you actually woke up.

Usually with a Lucid Dream you would realise that you were dreaming and you don't say that you realised that was the case so it just seems like a very vivid dream to me. I have had some very real dreams indeed that when I woke up I thought they had just happened.

Have you had any Lucid Dreams yet, knowing that you are dreaming while you are dreaming?

No I haven't yet but I want to. Since I started reading all this stuff yesterday and I was probably thinking about it so much I actually couldn't sleep last night I woke up about 3 times... I also have a lot of real dreams about my family and friends who've died.

The one I had was like I was in heaven talking to my grandma and that one felt so real in my dream I asked my grandma if I had died, but she said no she was just visiting. I always have the strangest dreams. Now all I have to do is learn to control them...

False Awakening, ring a bell? When you think youre up and moving about, or just laying in bed, doing whatever, but youre really still sleeping. It can get annoying when you actually wake up, and youve got to re-do everything you just did while sleeping.

And dreams are supposed to be vivid. Its what your brain does. If you have really good recall, you can remember more, so theyre more clear. You remember details, and colors and such. I had a strange dream just last night where my brother died, I remember it was really vivid. But I have excellent recall anyhow, so my dreams are always clear.
Dreams of death usually mean just the opposite. It means there is a time coming up of tranformation and finding new possibilities and ideas.

Lol one time I dreamt of waking up in the middle of the night and going to use the restroom. While doing my "business" I wondered "hmmm if I urinate any longer, I'll beat the guinness world record!" Suddenly, I woke up and had to go empty my real full bladder.

LOL I've had a dream a few times where someone at the end tells me to wake up and then my alarm goes off once i open my eyes.

i've had dreams where i wake up in my dream, but i'm still dreaming. i guess they're called false awakenings? but ya, one time when i had a false awakening i just climbed down from bed (still in the dream of course) and then sat on a broomstick and flew out to the kitchen to get breakfast. lol. it still hadn't hit me that i was still dreaming, but flying on a broomstick would be a good sign. lol.

lol. me too. i just found this site yesterday. when i went to sleep last night i was really excited. i wanted to try to have a lucid dream that night! lol. it took me a long time to fall asleep, at least i think it did. idk. i lost track of time. didn't have a lucid dream though. but, still, i remembered a couple of dreams i had last night.

Same thing with me. Then the night later I read up about "Old Hag" and SP and I couldn't sleep cause of that. Worst 2 nights of my life lol
