      Made-up music before sleep

It's happened to me quite a few times that as I'm about to fall asleep, I'll be listening to a song, and I can hear every detail, every word, every instrument; the bass, solos, EVERYTHING, and it's actaully a really good song, and I listen to it for quite awhile, and then I realise the entire thing is in my head, and I can keep the song in mind for a few minutes, but then I usually forget it completly, except for the general feel of the song. They're usually pretty uu beat, faster songs too... Does this happen to anyone else???

This is exactly what happens to me all the time.
You're dreaming, and you hear some amazing song, listen to it for a good amount of time, later on realize that it was all just a dream, and when you try and remember or recreate it, you can only recall the overall sound/feel of it.

Wish I could compose that well in RL.

It's good to know I'm not the only one who suffers from this. I'm thinking next time I LD though, I'm going to find a radio. : D

Yeah thats so enoying. I once woke up singing to a song that was being played in the background of my dream .... then after one minuet i forgot it

Also, while in SP i had this vivid HI/HS where i was flying through a HUGE tunnel and all around me were lights and cool music.

Its not only music but also poems...story ideas and things like that which i come up with in dreams and forget straight away once i've woken up!

Usually if I hear music it means I'm waking up after falling asleep with my headphones on. There have been dreams where I have heard music and thought it was a real life song but when I woke up I realized it wasn't how that song goes. I remember looking at sheet music in a dream once, then I went skydiving (not sure why, but it was a great feeling). The sheet music was for piano which I only play a little of and can't read the music that well (I'm a bass clefer). I couldn't remember any of it or what it was called though. I think it's be cool to be able to compose music in your head subconsciously like that but it would be frustrating to forget it so quickly.

I think it's a great feeling waking up in the middle of the night still listening to music, it's weird in a fascinating way. It's like you slowly transition from a dream and become more and more aware that there is something you can hear and then you realize you're awake and listening to music.
