      Did I actually dream?

I was trying to recall my dreams again last night and I woke up about 7.20am this morning and I realised I didn't remember any; I was quite frustrated. I lay there for a while, I think I went back to sleep and then woke uo about an hour later. During that time, I had what I think was a very short dream (lasted what felt like only 30 seconds). I could recall it when I woke up again, but I was wondering whether this would have actually been a dream or just my imagination running wild while I was half asleep?

Well inorder to answer that question as best as it can be answered, you'd have to know exactly what a dream is defined by, since techniqly day dreaming and stuff is the very early stages of a dream, with proper training you could day dream and take it to deeper levels.

Your question is similer to, was this a lucid dream, and the answer is not clearly defined yet.
