to DreamViews, orkan! I don't think lucid dreaming will change your basic nature of lazy vs. not lazy. It does take a little amibition to keep a dream journal and do reality checks, etc.

      Good luck!

I'm the queen of lazy and I still manage to get stuff done.

I'm pretty sure this won't take over your life as most of the stuff is done at night. The only real effort comes from writing stuff in your dream journal. Everything else is reality checks and mental intentions and remembering dreams.

IF anything lucid dreaming gives one a deeper appreciation of waking life because we start really seeing and questioning things around us.

      I think it's worth a go.

The experiences you can have from practicing and learning lucid dreaming transcend a lot of what people expect out of them. A lot of people ask me why i don't spend my life sleeping and taking naps if i am able to lucid dream, and i tell them because having those lucid dream experiences reawakened me to the richness and amazingness of simply being alive, with my friends and family that i love.

I think if lucid dreaming has any effect on your laziness it will help eliminate it. Because lucid dreaming is a hard thing to learn, you will probably feel very empowered after having a variety of lucid dreams. From my own lucid dreams i learned that anything really is truly possible and that I (or anyone else for that matter) can accomplish anything they dream...not just within a dream but also in waking life. While its hard to absorb such an idea simply from reading a forum message, your own lucid dreams i think will really strengthen your desire to wake up and be active and alive, to always be doing things and resist being lazy and/or bored It really does depend on your idea of success in life, but if you think feeling happy about your life and knowing youre in control of who you are is success, or at least a part of it, than lucid dreaming is worth a go ^^
Paprika: Don't you think dreams and the Internet are similar? They are both areas where the repressed conscious mind vents.

John Lennon: I believe in everything until it's disproved. So I believe in fairies, the myths, dragons. It all exists, even if it's in your mind. Who's to say that dreams and nightmares aren't as real as the here and now? Reality leaves a lot to the imagination.

I was lazy before I started lucid dreaming, I'm just as lazy now

Everything makes sense once you stop thinking about it

      Welcome to the forum
Why would you think that? What is the reasoning behind this?

I wrote a dream journal for the first time this morning. I am off of work today but not the rest of the week. I just learned I have to get up 20 minutes EARLIER if I want to have enough time to write my dreams down. I love my sleep too...guess I will be being less lazy if I want to keep a dream journal.
And experience it as a place to visit and play with reality.

You may end up having a dream which changes your perspective on life.
