Does anyone else have dreams about whatever is on TV?

I usually leave the TV on when I go to sleep. For me I guess its kind of like how some people feel they sleep easier when they play music before trying to sleep. Usually if I try to go to sleep in complete darkness I find myself thinking too much and not being able to sleep.

Anyway, thats not what I'm asking.

Sometimes I have dreams about whatever is on the TV at the time I am dreaming. This has been happening for a long time now, I can remember having dreams about shows and waking up to them playing on the TV.

I recently had a very strange dream. This is what I wrote down in my dream journal.

"I had a dream that I was in a class with someone and some woman teacher. She was trying to teach me some algebra or something. Then there were a bunch of people in the class with us and she was just teaching everyone. I looked up on the wall near the door and there was an eye that would seem to change when I stretched the skin around my eye, but I convinced myself it was an illusion but was still really trippy. There was a man there next to me and we started talking about existence I think. Or god, I'm not sure. He either told me that existence doesn't exist or that god doesn't exist I.
I'm pretty sure it was about existence, even though thinking about it now, it doesn't make much sense. I asked him if he believes theres not even a possibility that it could exist, but he said no. I think he was also there when the teacher was trying to teach me algebra. When I woke up a math lesson was on TV. I remember from the dream she was teaching me about A squared plus b squared equals c squared and other things."

I was wondering if anyone else has dreams like these? I usually have the TV on the discovery channel, so I've had dreams about Man vs. Wild and the guy from Dirty Jobs, haha. It's kind of weird but cool at the same time.

I usually don't listen to music as I sleep because of past experiences not being able to sleep with it playing. But last night I tried it with an album my ex-girlfriend and I used to listen to a lot and went to one of their shows. I ended up having a dream about her and how she still liked me (I really doubt she does). I also had a very short lucid dream where I tried to fly but I kept falling and didn't have much control. It was awesome to have it though because I haven't had one in a few weeks or so.

Does anyone else have any weird dreams like these?

Yeah all the time, whatever you've been doing/thinking about recently, you're more likely to dream about.

Yup very true. Like the other day, I basically played Half-Life 2 all day and had a dream about the Gravity Gun

Yes. Music and TV can weave themselves into my dreams very easily and have a lot. Two I really like are beach ocean wave type sounds/music or trance techo music, good for dreaming and makes a difference.
And experience it as a place to visit and play with reality.
