      Alarms affecting dream recall?

Hi guys. I'm new here. In case you couldn't tell. xP

I've always had really good dream recall. I can usually remember about two or three a night. For pretty much my whole life, I've never woken up with an alarm either. I sleep really light and so much as someone just stepping into my room is enough to wake me up. Recently, the need to wake up earlier has arisen and I had to break out the cellphone alarm. Ever since, I can't remember ANY of my dreams.

Any one else have this problem?
      Suggestions? Tips? Solutions?
Anything? I miss my dreams. DDD:

      to DV!

Yeah, lots of people have a similar problem. You should try autosuggestion: repeat to yourself while going to bed that you will wake up at such-and-such time. Also, as long as you wake up with the alarm at the same time every morning, and as long as you're getting enough sleep, you should eventually be able to automatically wake up a couple or so minutes before your alarm goes off.

BTW, being a light sleeper is very good for lucid dreaming!

Well, although I'm techinically not getting enough sleep by about a half hour, I think I can manage that. Thanks, I don't think I ever would have even though of that.

Oh, and thanks for the welcome!

Well, if you move immediately after getting up, you probably won't remember many dreams.

I've found that setting my alarm at a low volume so that I'll turn it off but not be so annoyed by it to -immediately- turn it off that I'll still lay there for awhile and think about my dreams.
