My Pap-pap has talked about dreams before 74, so it might just be an individual thing. Plus REM sleep is restorative, so I doubt you could lose it.

Alot of people say that you don't have rem sleep in old age but in fact you have more as you don't need as much non-rem so you enter rem faster and stay there longer.

i think that you got less REM at older ages but you still have it. my mom told me when i was a little boy, like 5 years or something like that, that i need to sleep much when i'm that young. when i get older i need less sleep, and then i got the thought in my head about if my grandma never sleeps. and yes she does, but less then i did.

My granddad is 89, and he dreams. Last fall, he told me about a dream he had the night before where a bear sat on him.

Relax, you have to have REM sleep to survive. You'll be dreaming tell you die. Wikipedia is not the most reliable source of information in the world.

Quote from wikipedia on Sleep Walking:
A common misconception is that sleepwalking is an individual acting out the physical movements within a dream, but in fact sleepwalking occurs earlier on in the night when rapid eye movement (REM), or the "dream stage" of sleep, has not yet occurred.
