dreaming after about 30 minutes of sleep or so.

So i know that dreaming doesnt happen until REM sleep which is about 2 hours into sleeping if im correct, but a couple days ago i took a nap around 11:30am and i woke up after a very vivid dream at about 12:00pm. Is it possible to hit the REM stage early? what happened here?

EDIT: I woke up that day at 6am

      thank you

Ya, in naps it is possible to dream.

If it is at night with no naps beforehand then it can be done in about 90 minutes of sleep.
