      Inducing Nightmares?

Yep, you heard me right. I want to know how I can induce a non-lucid nightmare, as I have never had one and I am curious as to what it is like. Thanks!

Well you could make your own induction techniques. Maby I could give a starting tip, pretty obvious really: Watch a horror movie (something scary to you), go to bed imagining monsters, aliens, ghosts in your room, visualise a terrifying alien abduction scenario, think about something distrubing, scary as you fall asleep,...

I guess you have to induce a state of panic and fear which could pass over to the dream, hopefully giving you a nightmare.

Personally, the disturbing dreams are the most frightening. I've had dreams where the world was invaded by aliens and we were getting farmed "Tom Cruise, War of the worlds movie" style and all I got was panic and adrenaline. Then there are the ones when you family throws decapitated baby corpses at you...

It's really a matter of finding what frightens/disturbs you most, as deeply down as possible, and then focusing a great deal of attention to it prior to sleep. Make this disturbing entity or idea the focul point of your day, and develop a deeply rooted emotional attachment to it.

Do this and you will, given you remember a fair amount of your dreams, have a nightmare.

You need something to be afriad of before you can be frightened in a dream, after all.

Your lucky. My worst nightmare/terror, was when 2 simeese babies ( twins attached by the head ) , had there eyes burned out by a bunson burner, by a fat retarted lady laughing menacly, and the baby squelling, while white puss flood my feet. It was a big factory with hundreds of babies meeting the same fate.

Guess you can think of that, but it terrified me as a little kid for around 3 weeks.

Damn. My nightmares weren't as sick. Actually I don't remember most of them, I only remember waking up every night because of them.

The baby corpses one was a bit recent though, like a week or two ago. I hate it when that happens.
