      Dream Reentry

I have been practicing my dream reentry skills. I used to be quite good at this and have gotten rusty lately.

I was dreaming that I was working in a firecracker store in Georgia except it was on Rt. 35. I was having fun looking at all the merchandise (which in a dream was even stranger than it is in real life). A band came in and we were having a good time in the store. We were deciding on tatoos when I woke up.

It was a fun dream so I decided to try to reenter it when I went back to sleep. I was walking on Rt. 35 and I went in a restaurant. They made me go to work because they were having a computer problem and I could work without one. I didn't want to work because I knew I was supposed to be somewhere else. After the crisis was over a woman walked up and started asking me about my other job. I realized that I had been looking for the store I worked in before but I couldn't remember what it was. I was standing there trying to remember what the other job was when I woke up.

how do you reenter a dream so easily?
i have tried and can usually do it, but when i reenter it either starts over again or i've forgotten i was dreaming about this before...

Just go to sleep thinking about the previous dream. If I were really good at it I would have been able to remember the job that I was looking for in the other dream though. It was a start.

I've done that a few times here and there. It's quite easy; Once you wake up from a dream, just try to go back to sleep right after and try to leave off where you were in the previous dream. One night, I woke up from a dream into SP... I just closed my eyes and thought about the dream I was just in and I fell into it. It was rather easy

dream reentry is easy if you just go back to sleep as soon as you wake up. I agree with that. I have been practicing it after being up for awhile and then trying to reenter the dream.

What brought this on is that I had a dream a few weeks ago that I haven't had in 20 years. I recognized the dream immediately but I also realized that I couldn't remember the pathway to take me out of the dream like I used to. (It is a dark maze dream). So I asked a friend (in the dream) to hold the door open for me so I could turn back if I needed to.

Turns out I didn't need her because I just "invented" a new way out, so I didn't need to remember the combination of turns to get out.

That dream did alot for me when I was younger in teaching me to lucid dream.
