      Post Childhood Dreams Remembered

So they say that you forget 90% of your dreams within the first 5 minutes of being awake. If you don't capture it down in your DJ you may never recall it again. But for some reason there are dreams you just never forget, no matter how many years go by.

You all know what I'm talkin' 'bout right? Those dreams during childhood that made real impressions on your memory? Well go ahead and share any of the ones you can remember here! Since keeping a DJ I have been able to recall even more dreams that I thought were lost forever. Odd huh? Maybe I'll post some up later, till then, go ahead and post your own!

Well I think that the reason we forget our dreams is because we just put them in our short memory which does not last. Now if we can get these dreams remembered for a period of time or write them down then we can put them in our long term memory. Long term memorys are not something we forget. I can remember alot of dreams when I was young because I made a point to remember them and soon I wont forget them even if I wanted to.

I remember several dreams from my childhood, from around the age 4 and 5. There was one dream where i was lying in bed trying and had avoid making any movement, because if I did a couple of invisible hands from
up above would tickle me hard. :p

Then there was one dream where I was wandering in a dark corridor with strange lights aound in it. I had to fold my hands in front of my eyes because there was something moving around me that I didn't want to see. I remember that it got really close to my face but didn't do anything, except waiting for me to unfold and open my eyes. Scary stuff.
A man's got to be in his own heaven to be happy.

When I was little, there was a poster on my wall across from the bed of baby Disney characters, like Mickey, Goofy, Minnie, Donald, Daisy, etc. I remember one night sitting up in my bed and looking at the poster, and the characters were all playing with their toys and walking around the poster and talking to me. It happened a few other times, too (when I was little), and it wasn't until about 3 weeks ago that I realized that it was all a false awakening that I thought was real. I must've been about 3 or 4 though.

Another one of my earliest dreams was a nightmare. We were in my house, and my mom gave my older brother and I the choice of having our baths first, then going to get ice cream, or vice versa. I wanted to get icecream first, and my brother wanted the bath. So he and my mom went upstairs to the bathroom. I was standing at the bottom of the stairs next to our living room, and these aliens were hiding in the dark. As soon as my mom was gone they grabbed me and killed me, and I woke up. That was maybe around age 4 or 5, and to this day, I absolutely hate the idea of aliens.

Interesting dreams friends. One of the earliest dreams that I can recall was from the time that I was around 6 years old. I was climbing the hill behind my house when I looked up and saw a great fluffy cloud with a great fuzzy purple spider on it. That's about all. Big cloud, purple spider, and I watched it for a while till I woke up.

Another one was when I was 6 I slept in a room with a big sliding glass door that led outside. Having a giant window to the outdoors in the room of a sleeping 6 year old is never a good idea. I had an FA where I looked outside and there was a biker gang in leathers and spikes all leaning on their motorcycles. The problem was that they were all living skeletons! From that point I would never face the glass door at night, always turning to the wall.
Sometimes I want to run away
      And just keep on running
      Never stop
      And never look back

Well, there's this dream which I'll never forget. I'm in my dad's car, I was around 6 or 7. I'm waiting for my parents, they left me in the car for some reasons, with the air conditioner on, so its not that bad =)

then suddenly, the car moved by itself. It was a nightmare! It moved all the way to the highway and it just keeps on moving, and the highway is just shaped in such a weird way that it keeps on going in circles, and the car's moving backwards! I can never get use to that nightmare whenever I was young. I stop experiencing it after a few times having that nightmare =/ cause my mind developed a much more scarier one. Which I would not want to describe it =D

but i guess everything is alright now. Whenever I have a nightmare, I'll just wake up, sweating sometimes. Drink a bottle of water, and go back to sleep xD
