Using lucidity to improve your life in the waking state.

i have heard and read of reports that state becoming lucid can be used to solve puzzling aspects of our waking lives like learning to drive or running through things as you would like them to occur. Has anyone had good experiences with this type of lucid dreaming. i expect you have to be well versed with things like being able to control the dream state at will to be able to do this.

i myself have not been practicing for a while but i cannot get the thought of being able to have a skill like that out of my head so i am back for another dose of lucidity training.

Lucid dreaming believe it or not, can actually help me practice my piano, it has also helped me revise my Chinese language skills, this in turn gave $1000 towards my school trip to China, because I went so well at it. I wasn't even going to consider doing Chinese in later life, I just didn't like it. But lucid dreaming has changed that.

      Answer: Neither, single-celled organisms did.

The week before I took my EMT certification exam I was very anxious and hard of sleep, there was just so much material that my classes covered in 6 weeks and I wasn't feeling very confident in my ability to retain information.

The weekend prior to the actual test - I re-read my notes and took a ton of practice tests. The night before I was scheduled to take my final exam I lucked out; I had a long dream reviewing an incredible amount of material. In my dream there was somebody right alongside of me - asking questions, reviewing lectures, and oddly - explaining disease processes that I could not have articulated clearly in the waking world. It was such an incredible help, and a great boost in confidence going into the exam.

I wasn't lucid during the dream - but now that I've experienced this I'm dying to be able to induce it at will.

Yeh, but problem is, I am still quite novice at lucidity, so i find that practicing subjects with words such as english or history doesn't work, because my mind just jumbles them up. Things related to numbers and characters however (Maths, some Science and Chinese characters) seem to be easier, probably because I have a naturally great ability to remember mathematical equations and Chinese characters.

I'm starting another language as well next year, French, but seeing how it has nothing to do with characters, I may not be able to lucid-study this subject.
