      Dreams that teach you?

Ever since I was really little, I'd get these dreams that would teach me how to do this or that. For an example, I'd get a dream on how to color something a certain way, or how to make a game. It'll just come to me. Sometimes, I'll be stumped on what to do with an assignment, and that night when I'm asleep I'll get a dream on how to do it. Do you ever get dreams that teach you how to do something?

I'm a singer/songwriter, and I've often made up songs in my dreams (but sang them with such confidence within the dream-sphere that you'd never guess!). Unfortunately, the profits of my dreams have so far not translated well onto the real life guitar and manuscript. I think part of that's my memory not being sharp enough to remember the song in its entireity and part of it is because in dreams I sing out of pure joy and emotion, but in real life I try to put too much 'logic' into the whole process.

Have your dream lessons been largely true when you translate them into real life? If so, that's pretty cool! Maybe one day mine will work that way too (but my brain seems too much of a prankster to give me any credible information!)

Yeah, I'm able to take it and do it in real life. I remember when I was like 8 years old and had a dream on how to make things out of clay. I begged my mom to take me to the store so I could start making them. I don't know how or why, it was like the dream told me how to sculpt. I'm more of a sketcher, too afraid to color my sketches with colored pencils, etc(I love photoshop ). There was an assignment that we /must/ have color with our picture, and my picture was a really good sketch of viny roses and a sword. The problem was I was too scared to color it (what if I screwed up?). Then, at night, I had a dream on how to color it. The next day, I did it how the dream told me to do it. Another one was a electric game. The dream showed me how to put wires together in a certain way. It was a question game, you know where you put the wire on the paperclip and the light would light up if the answer was correct. Well, the dream showed me how to make it. Next day, I asked my mom if we could go around and get these items to make it. She did it, but kept saying "do you know what you're doing?" I was able to make it.

You don't have to listen to this, but maybe you could try losing the "logic" when you're composing in real life. I like improvising on guitar, because that's where the feeling is. And record that, and for your song you listen to it again and select the best riffs.

      Just what I did.
