      Passing A Reality Check...In A Dream

ok so i'm really confused about what happened in this dream so i dont know where this post should be, but i need some help.

So Dr.Laberge says that the things you see in your dreams cant be recreated quickly when you close your eyes or look away, so when you do reality checks in real life if you look at a clock then look away, the time will be the same. In a dream, the numbers will change right?

I had a terrible dream where i killed one of my best friends in a fight,
which triggered me to say "Theres no way i would kill my best friend this HAS to be a dream". I put my hands over my eyes for about 5 seconds in my dream and try to wake up, but when i removed my hands I was still there in my dream. This is when i really believed i was awake because i passed this reality check in a dream! i tried multiple times to wake up and i couldnt..
      what happened??

That's right, if it's a dream the numbers will change

nothing happend, that's what happend. XD
Try to use another reality check.
RCs can fail, they do pretty often for me anyway. the RCs i like the most is the looking at the hand and counting fingers, lightswitch, pinching nose, the clock rc and just try to fly.
      Good Luck =)

Closing your eyes and opening them is not a proper reality check. Checking your watch or some other source of text works because you process written information entirely differently from visual information. If you look at a chair, for example, close your eyes, and the second time one of its legs has a slightly different design, you may not even notice. However, if you look at a word, close your eyes, look at it again, if one letter changes the entire word changes. That's the difference between visual information and semantic information. Any reality check that relies on things changing only works if those things are read, like a digital watch, written text, etc.
