      Question a curious situation

So basically i've dabbled in lucid dreaming. put quite a bit of effort into it last year and managed to acheive lucidity a few times.

but what i'm curious about right now is what i've been experiencing for the last few weeks.

I'm keeping a dream journal, and can normally recall at least one dream each morning.

Last night i had a dream (not lucid) where i was talking to this girl, and she wanted me to kiss her. and i remember this. i told her " no because then i'll wake up" and she told me i wouldn't, and kissed me.. and low and behold i woke up.

the point i'm trying to make is that i must have realised i was dreaming to say " no because i'll wake up"

and also that any time i seem to have any contact with people in a sexual nature i wake up almost straight away.

      any thoughts are welcome.
      thanks

There are various levels of lucidity. Once I tried MILD using a confirmation like "I will know when I dream." Well, in the next dream I had, I acted like I knew I was dreaming, but that did not make me lucid at all. Real lucidity is not just knowing you are dreaming, but being lucid implies that you know that you're dreaming. Lucidity rather is a state of awareness.

yeah that actually makes perfect sense, i've had dreams before where i thought i was lucid because i was doing things that i had planned to do the night before but when i thought about it a few days after i wasn't really sure if i had dreamed it or was actually in lucidity

any explanation of the waking up? and this happens very often

Probably physical excitement. Your body can show all signs of sexual arousal even in non sexual related dreams, the more in dreams with actual sexual content. With time and experience you can learn to control that.
