Thread: An Unfinished Task

I often have dreams of a questing nature, though the nature of the particular quest in each dream is quite different. But, often times, I wake up before the particular quest of the night is complete. I find that sometimes for the rest of the day, I have this nagging awareness of this failure to complete something, that I have left something undone in my dream the previous night: either some place I was to travel to, some person I was to meet, some thing I was to do. I find it happens most often if I didn't get a chance to write in my LJ.

It's not an entirely unpleasant sensation, this lack of completion: its at these moments that I feel like my dream world really is an entirely world unto itself. It's when that world feels unfinished that it feels most real to me.

Anyone else get this? Thoughts on the experience? Thanks for reading
