My first taste in a dream.

Yucky! This dream wasn't lucid. I was eating cold cuts and all of a sudden I got a weird taste in my mouth. I immediately spit my bite out.

Anyone know what taste is all about in a dream?

I'm not sure, but when I eat things in dreams, they're mostly normal tasting.

I'm not sure if this is exactly related, BUT... every time I eat food in a dream, I wake up feeling awful. Dream Food makes me feel ill in the morning, and the though of food makes me want to throw up. Doesn't happen that often thankfully

At least yours was only cold cuts.
In a NL dream I had recently, I ate a raw egg.
It was disgusting.
I had to try a raw egg in real life to make sure it was realistic...and I'd say the level of grossness was surprisingly equal.

It's weird, I've had lots of dreams about food...really delicious foods, but the taste never stood out near as much as that raw egg...

I once dreamed that a magician's wife was doing magic on stage while I was in the crowd, on the second balcony. She claimed that she could make anyone taste something she ad on stage, and I was the lucky one who "magically" tasted her food choice. I was blown away!
