      Dream Control without Lucidity?

Can it be done, or does dream control come with lucid dreams only?

I think it can... Like, I have had things controlled in dreams before, but I wasn't aware I was dreaming.

Nothing big, like I didn't summon things, but I controlled myself.

      Its a fine line...
      Bollocks.

Posted in the wrong section earlier!
Dream control without lucidity does happen. It can happen because of a previous waking memory from another dream so you have the same dream and you recognize it and you use preventive measures to avoid certain events from taking place in the dream. It can also happen spontaneously because the dream theme happened to be about controlling things. It can be done at will by using VILD or dream incubation (autosuggestion) where you control the dream content to a certain degree before you sleep. Of course the best is being lucid in the dream but this does not guarantee control and waking memory is usually still severely impeded depending on how lucid you are so it's still more or less random dreaming but with conciousness.
