A Dream so realistic it fooled me.

Happened about last year, I dreamt that my dog was begging to go out to go to the bathroom. I ignored it and soon enough I heard a car pull into my driveway. Following up I heard my dog barking madly and my cat meowing. My body lifted up I looked around in my room and everything was EXACTLY like my room, and I ended up walking out to my door to see what was up and I saw two men taking my animals away They were both concealed in black trenchcoats and I couldn't see their faces.

Well, long story short I ended up waking up and running to my door screaming and crying for my pets. Soon enough my parents rushed out to see what I was doing and there my dog was behind them, and my cat was sleeping on the chair downstairs.

I don't get how something could be that realistic, or was it just my blind emotion controlling me? Anyways has anyone experienced something like that?

yup sometimes I can bet 1 million dollars that I'm awake and do an RC and voila- I'm dreaming! dreams I think are designed to fool you that's the point. If all dreams had "you are dreaming" signs everywhere (happened to me once btw) we wouldn't need reality checks/dreamsigns/etc

Yeah, about half a year ago I had a dream... or maybe false awakening would be more appropriate, about waking up in my aunt's car with my cousins on the way to school (which was the daily routine) and everything was so real. Nothing was out of the ordinary at all, everything was as it was. When I woke up I thought I had been driven back and somehow put back into bed... ha.

Emotions can be a lot stronger when we dream. Since we are not responding to external stimulus when we're sleeping (sights, smells, sounds, etc.), we're more likely to experience stronger responses to thought processes and memories... At least that's my opinion.

I had a dream once where my brother stole something from me, later attacked me, and then run off. I woke up and even knowing it was a dream was angry with him for the whole day. I avoided him so he wouldn't know Another time I dreamed that everyone hated me, so I started crying. I woke up crying and it was a minute or so before I realized it had all been a dream. That realization was quite a relief!

I have had to realise that dreams that I had were dreams and I thought this has happened. I dream that I slept in and missed my day at work.
