This might be hard to explain because of the subjectivity of it all, but I'll give it a crack.

There is another type of 'dream' that I have. May be it's not a dream?

When going to sleep, it seems to be either the first dream I have, one of the dreams I have when my sleep is continually interrupted, or a dream I have while napping. It is certainly not controlled in any way, but is similar to when I act out what I still would want to do...

[Waking life]It happens when someone asks me a question, which I have never questioned before myself. And usually when asked, I respond with something that I think would give them the right answer, and what 'society' might think is the answer. This is because it's usually a question with which, if i don't answer quickly, could make me seem naive/stupid etc, in other words, could threaten my ['self concept that I show the world'- can't think of the right words here]. So the question is now passed, I don't second guess it too much at the time, but still wonder a little bit.

[Sleeping life]- I will rewind to the moment where the person asks and I will ask myself again, and usually I have a better answer because it's such a quiet and focused state. It also feels like abstract problem solving- hypnagogia anyone?

There was one time when I went to sleep and watched the entire day play again, where I could analyze and 'take it apart'. Exhausting. This proves to me that the state can rarely last a long time...

It must be a dream, because it is not reality and I don't chose to see it. Where dreams are often emotional based, this completely shuts off emotions where things can be viewed objectively and figured out.

- may be if we could control our emotions more in waking life we'd work more things out too? hehe.

I think I mainly just want opinions, views, arguments etc to this. Anyone else had similar experiences etc. Sorry for the poor structure of the post!!
