      Question Dream scenes exist nowhere

How come 99% of dream scenes are never what they actually real in real life. I already know that this is because all scene details you've seen at one point in real life. But how come your mind never puts together specific places you know well, like your house. It doesn't seem logical.?

I get my house and buildings around it all the time in my dreams. The thing is the places will never be 100% accurate representations because dreams mess up the facts. For instance, I've been living in the same house for two years and my dreams about it are accurate and frequent, but they mess up details like where my room is or adds extra rooms to coridoors.

How can you assume we all dream alike and have the same experiences? I've certainly had dreams in which the scene in 'real' life matched the dreamscape. Only difference is, the dream would keep shifting (as most do) and the scenery will morph and change giving the impression that the dreamscape was not accurate, yet it was.

Or am I misinterpreting your question?

Thing is, I've lived in my house for 2 years and I only remember once where the one room I'm in was basically like it is in real life. Also, I've never seen my school scene accurate, maybe 20% of it would be like real lire, but, not much

Well, think about you room, bring up any detail you can. There is no way that you have the exact image of your room in your mind. In dreams, our memories can be a little off, so this could extrapolate this further.

For the most part, in a dream, if you feel the place is completely accurate, in waking retrospect, it will not be.
      Bollocks.

Sometimes for me there is even major furniture of mine missing, like my dresser.
If you see a strange typo in my post, blame my iPad for that.

      Gotta second that.

When my dreams take place in places that I'm familiar with it's almost always accurate. Of course if I wonder too far from my own recollection of the scenery I end up getting lost in my dreams (it always turns into a forest or hillside if I walk too far off).

I would think it'll be somewhat accurate especially if you lived in your house for a decent time
