      Question about Dream Recollection

Hey guys, I've got a general question/worry about my dreaming.

So, recently, I've been having very vivid dream recollection. Been keeping a dream journal and doing anything I can to try and get lucid. However, I feel that in general, I remember my dreams, and not experience them, per se.

Like, I'll wake up and remember a dream I had, but I won't have a feeling of actually doing what I did in the dream. It's hard to follow, I know, but it seems like when I read what you guys say about your dreams, you experience them, and not remember them.

I read somewhere that a reliable effort to remember dreams will help your waking mind to become more friendly with your dreaming awareness.
I wouldn't worry as you seem to be taking the right steps to experience a LD.

I only wish I had your vivid dream recollection

      I 'll get there soon
      I guess.

Don't get disheartened. From reading you'd think that the person writing about a dream was reliving it, but that's because our language is like that. You have to write "I looked", "I felt". That doesn't really say anything about how vivid the dream was.

Usually they pale so quick that upon awakening you remember them but can't truly relive them. Vivid dreams are rare, and even they won't remain vivid for a long time, they'll pale too and transform into the usual dim kind.
