So at some point during your months at school, you might decide that you're too tired to do work. You put your head down on your folded arms on the desk and simply rest your eyes. Sometimes, though, it goes a little further than relaxation. Every now and then I would put my head down when I'm finished my work or I don't have any energy to do so. About every 3 times I do this, I become more than relaxed and wind up having these visions, as if I'm inside a thought.
For example, the first time I encountered this situation this school year was quite a few weeks back. I had my head down after taking a math test, tired. Suddenly, I was somehow dreaming while awake. Maybe not exactly dreaming, but I was having visions of me looking at a math question on my test. The question was detailed, with the multiple choice answers also there (each one being unique with different numbers). I knew immediately I was just having visions. I started looking further down on the page. Amazed, I winded up opening my eyes, being awake the whole time.
It started to occur more frequently when I would rest my head on the desk, whether it would be computer class or English. Twice in one day, just last week, I winded up flinching from visions. The first one was me starting to fall off a cliff, and I almost jumped out of my chair. It scared me because I was still awake, seeing these images. I could hear the classroom ambiance in the background while I was having visions. The second one involved me doing a mid-air kick to a machine from the Terminator, and it also made me flinch in my desk.
Anyone experienced something like this? Having some-what vivid visions while you're still awake? It's pretty cool, because your body is not COMPLETELY paralyzed, so you wind up shaking or being jumpy through the whole thing. This state of mind probably has its own word, but I'm feeling pretty ignorant at the moment.
