      Waking up at climax of dreams

      is it just me, or does everyone else always seem to wake up at the climax of their dreams? like the whole dream is building up to a point and it ends right before the story is settled or what you have been waiting for is revealed? i swear this happens to me once or twice a week.
      It doesnt matter if i wake up on my own or someone wakes me up. is this just a weird coincidence of mine or have others had similar experiences?

      It happens to me all the time. I think a large part of it is that dreams are our subconcious mind sorting through the stuff that is going on in our lives. Because most of the things that occur in our lives are still ongoing, there isn't really a good end to be stuck in there, just insights. It's sort of like we get to provide the end to our dreams based on the decisions we make in our waking lives. The dreams I have that do have a definite ending are normally about something that I'm moving past in my life. But that could just be my experiences...

      it just really sucks waiting for the whole dream and then right as something big is about to be revealed or the story is resolved somehow i am woken up or i wake myself up... awful.

      ya. This seems to happen to me to, though the ones that do have a finish are the best.

      This happens to me all of the time. Then again, my dreams are so warped I do not know what to expect of some of them. This thread makes me want to live through a multi-day dream and go on some sort of adventure.
