      little prophe

What’s up fellows oneironaouts. I’ve got the question, what do you think about the little prophecies that we (obviously I’m not the only one with these) had in our dreams. I’m talking about those little details from the dream that kinda pops to your head, and then after few days exact, or veeery familiar thing, happens. For example last week a dream about this little door in the wall that leads to a tiny tunnel, just so one can get through… (the dream was mad cool and long but for the sake of the topic only this part is needed ) about 5 days later I’m watching this new movie – Coraline (equally good as the book) and bam, The Tiny tunnel (just to be clear -I’ve read the book about 7 yrs ago so the coincidence of me remembering the tiny detail from the book, that I’ve forget about, and to dream about this detail 5 days Before watching the movie, which I found accidentally is somewhat improbable) . Other story (one of many), I dreamt that me and two of my friends were traveling around the country in the trains, basically the whole dream was set in the train. Next day I meet accidentally with one of those friends, I haven’t seen him for about two weeks, I asked him whats up and he says,- oh dude last few days were crazy, me and Adrian (the other guy from the dream) were going around in the trains…at this point I could just feel some of my hair turns grey….the whole point to those short stories is not to go about the nature of prophecies or foreseen (personally I think that term metaphysical is just referring to the unknown physics) ..whatever, the point I was trying to make is that during the sleep we kinda go outside the time (it’s how I look at it ) and can “pick” up the (let’s say waves, from the lack of the better expression) waves from past, present or future. The dream is based on our experience, which then is modified by the waves from the different time zones (damn, I using some big words over here, I hope I didn’t discourage nobody, don’t think about this as BS talk, it meant to be a speculation which I wished to share with you all). Then those waves/signals are in some way imprinted in our dream. These waves/signals things can also be referred to the fact that we often dream about things that are/or will be happening to people that we know but since the numerous amount of those signals our brain/mind is trying to make some sense out of it creating in a result a (mostly) bizarre symbolic reality.

Well, for one... You're looking for these things. Your argument against remembering the tunnel from the book is ridiculous... "I wouldn't remember it because I read the book seven years ago." I assume that you were planning on going to the movie. If not just wanting to go to the movie? That alone would bring up memories of the book. And then those could easily turn into your dreams.

Your story of your friends... That is also not spectacular. You're friends with these people, and last saw the person only two weeks ago. I'm sure you all have talked about things that would be fun. I'm sure you also weren't the only one told about the train things. Perhaps two friends of yours were conversing while you weren't paying attention. You could have easily picked up the news and played it back in a dream.

I'm not saying precognative dreams are impossible, but looking for them proves nothing. Giving poorly detailed and horribly opinionated accounts do nothing for me besides make me want to believe in these things less.

i couldn't care less for u believing in that kind of stuff, u took my post and twisted it in such a way to have your answer and to proof me ridiculous. It's obvious that when one is looking for connection between something one will find it, in the same way as you have found so "cleaver" way to proof me wrong. I didnt plan to go to the movie, i have seen it the first day a heared about it, moreover, seven years is a some time considering that i'm reading at least one book a week, and the thing with my friends - their descision to travel by train was spontanous, my crew dont bother with plans or maps,we just go with the flow, so...but why i even bother, you have make up your mind and thers nothing in the world that will change that
      Peace, and sleep well

I'm sorry, but you are incorrect. I believe in procognative dreams. What I don't believe in is some dipshits thinking they're special every time they have Deja Vu.

"dipshits"?...now that was mature, I will leave this pointless argument since I'm obviously dealing with someone with the mentality of an angry sad little teen
