      Question The moon & earth...

I never remember my dreams throughout the day, but today was different. The more the day went by, the more I thought about my dream and have no clue what it means.

Last night I had a very real feeling in my dream. The first thing I remember was walking out of my house and seeing the moon. The moon was taking up half the sky. It was very close to earth. As far as panic goes, all I can retain from dream is that everyone was hauling their families away to other side of earth.

I later found out in the dream that the moon was on its way to collide with earth. I don't know how or why either.

Anyways, my dreams never stick out like they did today. Why is this one dream bothering me?

Could be becasue the moon is something that has never changed as far as any of us can remember, seeing something as drastic as that (especially if you remember it vividly when you awaken) would be something unsettling.

I had a dream the other night I looked up at the sky and there were hundreds of moons all going through eclipses and it scared me a whole lot. It was way too intense to look at.

Yeah that'll do it. Either way, looks like your this dream has hooked your memory. Maybe your recall will improve?

Generally my recall is pretty good and I tend to have long-winded vivid tales on a pretty consistent basis. Realizing I am dreaming comes and goes, it is something I need to get better at. I'm still confused on all this terminology but WILD - Wake Induced Lucid Dream? is something I want to master. If I could enter lucid dreams at will I feel like I'd be able to accomplish so many things.

      Moon and Earth Collides

I posted this one to "dreams of the Apocalypse"
I noticed that it was somewhat similar to ermine's since it did take up much of the sky toward the end, and similar to JamesLD's since the moon was breaking up, but I saw nothing to suggest it was purposely destroyed.

"I had a dream which to me was kind of weird. I was at my old house in Krugersdorp, South-Africa. Standing in the back yard. I noticed the moon was unusually large. Then I noticed that it was orbiting the earth at a very, very fast rate. A single orbit around the earth took between 5 and 10 seconds. It also kept getting larger and larger.
To me it was the end of the world, maybe not the apocalyptic destruction that everybody might think of. Either the earth went out of orbit and was spinning faster and faster while moving towards the moon, or the moon's orbit decayed enough for it to get close enough to the earth for impact.
I thought I saw the moon cracking, as if it was crumbling into multiple pieces, then it drop under the horizon. I remember sitting down, waiting for the feel of impact and the end of life. But I woke up before anything happened.

Damn, that sounds so much like one of mine.

5-6-09 (Pasted from a chat log)

(1:27:47 PM) Jade: I was outside, it was night, and overcast, and I could see a bright blue object shining through the clouds.
(1:28:48 PM) Jade: It got brighter, and brighter, then it started to grow, until it was about 5 times as big as the moon, probably bigger.
(1:29:11 PM) Jade: Then it started to -look- like the moon, craters and everything.
(1:29:55 PM) Jade: It -was- the moon.
(1:30:26 PM) Jade: It was getting closer and closer to earth, until finally...
(1:30:57 PM) Jade: It shot right by us. It was incredibly fast. It had blown all the clouds away, as well.
(1:31:26 PM) Jade: And apparently, it was still orbiting the earth, because it came back around the same way... twice.
(1:33:44 PM) Jade: It was definitely something to see.
(1:34:18 PM) Jade: Mom was there with me, and we were pretty much praying that it wouldn't hit and it would leave the orbit. Later we found out that it actually landed on the border of Austria and Switzerland, in the Alps.

I see this is an older thread but i wanted to add my dream anyway. This is my first post here obviously. To date i have had 1 great lucid dream and several "im dreaming and wake up".

I was in a bedroom looking out the window at the moon and it began to turn black like an eclipse. I wanted to see this through my telescope so i grabbed it. As i watched, the moon began
to crack apart and magma began to ooze through the cracks. The moon was getting closer and closer as i watched. It entered the atmosphere and began to burn up. As it burned i noticed
large steel beams running along the equator. Finally it dissapered over the horizon after flying overhead. I turned the tv on channel 3 news. The news said that the moon has hit the earth
above alaska. They said the moon was actually a giant hollow aliens spacecraft that is hollow and appears much larger than it actually was. I remember feeling panicked during the whole
occasion. While watching the news i remember thinking that we are gonna be under martial law. As i flipped through the channels, it was business as usual and schedules were being kept.
At this point i remember feeling calm because of this. The dream then turned into an adventure of us going to alaska to see the impact site in the ocean.

I'm starting to think the book "Life As We Knew It" was inspired by a dream. xD
