      Waking up after every dream

How would I go about training my body to wake up right after dreams.. I usually don't wake up in the middle of the night, or if I do, I don't remember it. Does anyone have techniques to allow me to wake up right after my dreams?

I always repeat in my mind "Im gona wake up after every dream, and remember it". I normally try and do this until i fall asleep or when i fell my intetion has been set. I remembered when i did this the first time and it actually worked, i was shocked that it did. Yeah just try it out for a few days and see how it goes.

I try and not set my alarm but you might find it better if your having trouble waking up on your own.

This worked for 3/6 sleep cycles, and one more cause I had an alarm. The sad part is, I didn't write anything for the first 3, and my alarm jolted me awake, so now I have NOTHING to write. I also failed at wilding after the alarm. :/

I do this also, and I have a cup of green tea before I go to bed and a banana. I don't know if the banana helps, it was just a tip from a dream character.

I truelly think when you wake up then you have seen what you were suppose to see. Just lay there for a few minutes to recap on what you saw and write it down. Sometimes if you snap out of it to quick you may forget something and if you try and wake up to write it down you may not be able to go back to sleep and go into the rest of a dream series. God knows when to wake you up. If you cant remember it all, god has got a way of bringing things back to rememberance at the right time. I encourage you to just journal and relax when you come out of a dream to retain the details.

Well, to remember my dreams I say to myself "I'm going to dream, and I'm going to remember it." and it works. So try telling yourself you'll wake up after every dream like a few other people here have said.

Dream recall is hard at first. I remember first trying to remember my dreams. I'd wake up, and before I even opened my eyes, I would have to mentally piece together each dream and exactly what happened. Then I'd move to get up, and the moving itself would cause me to forget a bit. I've gotten better at it now though, and can remember long dreams pretty easily, and that repeating thing helped a lot, so try it with this.

Also, be wary of training your body to wake up after every dream, cuz your body might subconsciously start to do that predominately and ten years down the line, you'll STILL be waking up every twenty minutes or hour even if you don't want to. But I'm not entirely sure if the body can be trained like that though. :/

I'm not sure if it's specifically been mentioned in the thread already, but proceeding to drink large portions of water right before going to bed might help. With any luck, it will cause you awake from your dreams sometime during the night, thus being able to recall it more sharply.

Whatever you end up trying, I bid you good luck.

In your LD. Spin around and while your spinning around really fast say "WAKE UP!".

Nobody tried killing themselves in a dream? If I try to do backslips or run into walls and break my neck it often wakes me up. Sounds morbid, I know...

As stated previously, mantras and autosuggestion work best for this. Just remember to keep still when you wake up and fully recall as much as you can about the dream you just had before doing anything else.

turkey, chicken and milk have thriptofan... it helps you sleep.. that's why usually you get so sleepy after eating these things...

And apple juice, I read somewhere that it does help to gain lucidity, I read it in a tread around here in dreamviews... But I think you have to drink it like right when you have your REM cycle.. Like you wake up, obviously, you drink it, you go back to bed and DILD or WILD or whatever it is you do to gain lucidity...

Don't drink it so cold though, drinking cold beverages right before bed is not good... the cold kinda wakes u up... pure logic

      CHICKEN!
Good news for me. I've been drinking apple juice for the last three days throughout the night and the vividness of my dreams hasn't changed. Sometimes its strong, sometimes its weak.

Well, I suppose it has different effects on people. I often have a glass or two of milk before I go to bed, but I hardly notice any effect of that. However, I remember one time, my aunt had made freshly squeezed juice from assorted fruits, my dreams felt increasingly afterwards. I'm not sure what could've contributed to that experience, whether it be the apples, carrots or fresh ginger roots - or any of the other ingredients present. I'm certain something in that juice must've had an amplifying effect on my dreams.
