      lucid problem

I dream every single night (i know everyone does but like i remember them)

i cant remember it for a while and then the next day it becomes foggy/forget.

i never realize that i am dreaming...

      i take melatonin (side note)

my avg sleep time is about 11:00 - 6:40

i want to say about 7 and half hours

generally i get these dreams in the last cycle of my rem ( i wake up to the sunlight from my window and i remember) occasionally i will wake up in the middle of the morning after one.

i dont keep a dream journal

      how important is one??

      also

my dreams are almost always about the last things on my mind 2 hours before i go to sleep.

how can i ingrain something powerfully into my subconscious to dream about?

      its rather annoying

i even have a couple reoccurring dream characters (like my dad is usually in most of them)

and i still don't reality check even though i tell myself to.

so i am inquiring about all of the above as well as advanced training to improve my awareness.

Dream journals are one of the most important things when it comes to LDing

I think you will do fine after you start keeping a dream journal

I agree with yumester. Dream journals are extremely important.
The moment you start going about your day, you'll start forgetting details.
Keep one, and stick to it, it'll be well worth while.

I found that I dreamt about school, because that was my life. Then time came to leave school and decide what I wanted to do, then my dreams became interesting.

If your dreams are about the last few things you thought about before going to sleep, it's probably because those are the biggest questions in your life right now.

Your best bet is to introduce something new into your life.

      In my opinion
