Pre-loading memories in dreams

When I dream sometimes i feel like i know stuff i didn't know before. For instance, when i have deja vu dreams, I know stuff before it happens in my dream, but when i wake up I realize i never had a dream like that before. Do our minds have to power to load memories in to us? Or am I simply just remembering dreams I forgot.

often when you're dreaming, your brain comes up with false memories to make sense of the story. this is actually really common.
