A pair of pajamas that make me dream... interesting.

My mom has recently given my a pair of pajamas. Nothing really special. Just a pair of shorts, and a tank top. The first week I wore them, I was dreaming every single night, ranging from 2-5 dreams per night. I found that strange since I never really dreamed that often. I began having too many dreams, and it hurt my brain for some reason. I stopped wearing them for a week, and I stopped dreaming after the 3rd day. My mom said these pajamas helped you sleep better. Any thoughts on that? I'm wondering if I wore them more often, I could have Lucid Dreams more often. I haven't had one before, so, I was just wondering if they might help, if they do in fact, help me dream more.

In theory, I suppose wearing something that makes you more comfortable would increase your chances of sleeping well, and therefore give you a bigger window to dream and get lucid.
However, it may be a placebo effect. Recently, when I held my old DJ for a few seconds and focused on it before I went to sleep, it would give me a lucid dream that very night. I believe it was a fluke the first time (as I was reading it before I went to bed) and now I just got it stuck in my head that it was the DJ that was causing the dreams. In this case, it may have been a coincidence and now that you believe its the pajamas giving you the dreams, your inducing them. After all, lucid dreaming relies on belief (you'd be amazed how easy it is to cause lucid dreams and control dreams with belief alone).

Take advantage of the placebo. The placebo effect is your friend.

I pick up a half-eaten copy of a book by Neil Gaiman, and decide this is all his fault.
