Thread: One of my classes asked a question today

Well, I was in my 5th period class when they asked, "Would you give up 1/2 of your stuff & then, you'd need only 1 hour of sleep?" I was just wondering what any of you would say about that....sorry I sound like a moron.

I told them, "No way! Why would I want to give up 9 hours of LDing?"

Gah, if I gave up all but one hour of sleep, I would be awake for 6 extra hours each day. If I gave up half my stuff, that means I would have to use those 6 hours to get another job so I could buy more stuff!

Doesn't sound like a great deal to me when I can have all my stuff and live in two different realities!

I totally agree! I mean, I would rather keep on LDing (even though I have to use that stupid technique where your body falls asleep 1st every nite) than face reality, b/c then I can make up the level of my difficulty in my video games in my dreams instead of playing those stupid easy games!

Yea that would give you just enough extra time to get a second job to replace half of your stuff.

haha, what a stupid question. regardless of wether or not you LD. it doesn't even seem worth discussing, if you ask me.

Especially when you consider... if I ever need extra time, I can just go a night without sleep. It doesn't kill you.

im going to have to agree with cynic queen (king?) EP here.

Considering how much stuff I have, I'd gladly sleep only one hour per night.

I'd do it. Right behind me is a collection of alsorts of old crap I need to get rid of, and I don't like sleep anyway, so what the hell let's have one hour instead. ;P

Kaniaz, when I was your age, I'm sure I would have agreed. But I found that I liked sleeping a lot more as I got older. Now, no way, especially with LDs at stake.

Thats not the issue, some of us can change the flow of time, its just that it takes a couple of hours for your REM cycles to get going, so if you only had 1 hour of sleep, your chances of LDing for that hour are slim.

If you only NEED 1 hour of sleep, doesnt mean that you can take joy naps every once and a while ^^. I'd do it.

yeah, I would totally do it, if you can get away with 1hr/night if you want to, but still sleep more whenever you feel like it. I hardly have any material stuff i'm really attached to, anyway. But if the condition was, you can only sleep 1 hr out of every 24, I don't think I would. I need the escape and the respite from real life, although of course I wouldn't want to live in my dreams, either.

Denfinetly not. While sleeping you rest from everybody and looking at some people for 23hours/day would just be too much

the key words are: if you only needed

that covers everything.
