      Boring dreams

Lately i've been noticing that my dreams have become Reeaalllyy Booorrriiinng!
I mean like, last night i dreamt that i was in a book store or a library! (horror) that could have been ok if i was doing something, but nooo! i had to be just standing in there.
Then later i dreamt of playing a computer game where all the character did was twirl a stick and stand there. (It didn't even have good graphics ) I started talking while i was playing this game too and you wanna know what i said? "Twirling!, Twirling! I'm twirling my stick!"
It could just be me but that is sooo boring its not funny.
Oh... how fun... a game about twirling a stick... oh joy... oh rapture...
How am i supposed to become lucid if nothing cool or out of the ordianry happens?!?

So, anyone have any tips on how to make my dreams more interesting? (that doesn't involve drugs ), or should i just ignore the crap-tacular spectacle of boredom and wait for it to pass?
These are the tears that I dream about...

Yeah, boring dreams do really suck big time.

you should just try to let it pass, or get more sleep?
Also, eating/drinking things with Serotonin might help your dreams become more vivid, but im not sure about boring (milk, chocolate, yogurt, anything of a dairy nature contains tons of serotonin.)

Go to blockbuster and rent any of the psychological thrillers. You know like Devils Advocate.
The kind of stuff that leaves you thinking for a few days. That should get you going.

      I had a strange one last night.(non-lucid)

Something kept wiring explosive and setting trip wires in my house.
It began with simple ones, small mechanical trip wires that I could disable by just cutting.
Thing was, everytime I disarmed one, it would create one that was more complex and more difficult to disarm.
It got to the point that I just left the last one and decided that I would avoid it instead of disarming it.
It was after making this decision that I finally saw what was setting the traps.
It was a small creature, kind of like a pokemon, it would crawl along the floor or wall and lay trip wires, kind of like a spider weaves a web.

BTW: I was rewatching 'Mom and Dad Save the World' before bed.

Perhaps you should maybe take a look at how things are in your life and see if there's any connection or symbolism to what you are dreaming.

I think the movie "GET YOUR QUOTES RIGHT" is a better one

Try reading some fantasy or other similar literature, or studying unique artwork.

I used to read a lot of Koontz, Stephen King, and other horror-thriller writers. I'm sure these have had an impact on my imagination and my id...

Im a little of the opposite. My NLD's are so much fun and interesting! I love them, but when I have lucid dreams, nothing is really happening. Boring stuff. Actually in most of my dreams Im walking somewhere.

In one of my Non-lucid dreams I was riding on horses like LOTR people in a dark mistly place being chased by the wraith/shadows. IMO i thought it was fun and thrilling

      Most boring dream I had:

I am standing in a streetlights beam of light. There is nothing else around me and the light, at all, emptiness. I stare at it...

      That's it!!

There has been a break in bore-fest "04"

The silence was broken by a long-ass dream last night that was kind of freaky and kind of cool. (Took up almost a whole page in my dream journal, which is about a foot long)

I'll write it here later as i'm pressed for time, and it wasn't lucid. so it'll be here either today or tomorrow.

Well, here's the dream that ended the boredom.

I was up near the hall of my old school and there was this group of people gathered around this green van in the parking lot around the side. So i walked over there and this chick i knew was handing out games for the NES. (The really old one ) I saw some guy with black hair in his late teens grab a bunch of everything and walk off, i didn't get anything at the time. (I'll want some later as you'll see) I walked away and eventually came to the base of a really large mountain with a path spiralling up it. As i looked up missles started to rain down on the mountain and its surroundings.

There was some dicontinuity here but it resumed almost the same

I was in a Central Base in a place where there was a war going on and i was in some sort of mech.As an explosion sounded outside I remember thinking that i wanted some of those NES extensions and games that that guy got. So i went around the base in the mech i was in and found the guy near a hatch to the outside. He was in a mech that looked very odd with bubble eyes and a round head. I asked him over the communicator if he had a set i could have since he had gotten so many.
He said "I'll give you one for 30,000" I dont know what kind of currency he was talking about but i asked him if he could give it to me any cheaper. He said in a condescending voice "Ok. How about 70,000?"
Here's where it got wierd (it may not sound so bad writing it here, but it was freaky and kind of cool when i dreamt it) I said to him "You're toying with me arent you?" and a wind picked up inside my cockpit and then i saw that my face had become weird like it was sort of melted. Then i smiled one of the most evil smiles and then used some sort of wierd power.

The scene shifted to the other guys cockpit and he was writhing and turning in his cockpit like a madman. The scene shifted again, to the outside of his cockpit and the eyes/windows of his cockpit went red with blood so you couldnt see inside it. My face wnt back to normal when i heard a lot of people outside scream.
I got out of my mech like i didn't know what was going on and rushed over to the other guys mech and opened the eye/hatch. It was a mess, entrails and blood everywhere. Blood ran out of his cockpit for a second and then all the mess and blood just desintegrated into thin air, leaving a clean cockpit.

I walked down the passageway to the hatch that led to the outside and saw what i was looking for, a box with the stuff i wanted. I started grabbing one of everything, but as i did his mech started up on its own and started walking towards me. I grabbed all i needed and jumped out of the way and up the hatch just as it put its foot down on the space where i was.

There was a little bit more but its not very interesting and that what we're trying to prevent.

If you drink 4oz of coke or pepsi before bed you'll have much longer and more vivid dreams.
