trouble having a lucid dream ??need help

so i ve started lucid dreaming about 2 months ago

first month i had 3 lucid dreams , so basically a lucid dream every week and it was great
but lately after stoping for a week ive been trying to be lucid using the same methods(reality checks, dream journal, affirmations, mild with wbtb ) and its been really hard, like i've only had one and it was really short and basically i couldnt control it , my legs felt paralyzed so I couldnt even stand straight
any suggestions on how I can improve my techniques or anything ?

The idea is to remain in a constant state of departure while always arriving..

Keep trying. I've learned that with MILD, it needs to be warmed up, if you know what I mean. If you try it for five days, it might not work until the fourth, get it? So keep doing what you're doing, they'll come back. Trust me.
      Lucid dreams, gotta love em.

Dreams, and therefore lucid dreams, occur in our big brain's transition zones to and from Theta brainwave patterns to Delta brainwave patterns. This occurs many times in through the night. The easiest entry into a LD is when you first fall asleep. In effect, you will be in a form a self-hypnosis when going from relaxed (alpha brainwaves) to 'daydreamy' (Theta brainwaves) . It is while you are in theta, and still in possession of willful thought, that you can willfully suggest to yourself will be aware in a dream. I write about it at length here . One of the reasons a LD is so short is the precarious balance we are in between two states of awareness. I would suggest not flying in an LD (yes, I know it is hard not to!) as the act of flying causes an adrenaline rush that will wake you up sooner.
