Taking anti-anxiety medication, how does that affect LDing?

      Hello,
currently, i'm taking a small dose of seroquel (50mg) before sleep. This is a anti-psychotic drug, but it was prescribed at small dose for me to help fight anxiety.

Since one of the effect is drowsiness, and for my experience of it, I think it makes me having trouble with my dream recall. Big trouble, since I'm already a deep sleeper. But from my experience the medication does NOT supress REM sleep, since i'm still a big dreamer. (I don't have good dream recall but I have enough to know I dream a lot)

It's the second day since years I go to the forum, with a firm intent to go seriously with LDing this time around. I tried restarting a dream journal yesterday night but this was an epic fail, no recall and almost no waking up after dreams, with serious deep drowsiness (like always), despite an encouraging pre-sleep sugestion and affirmation session, with a little shot of self-hypnosis.

I have the possibility to stop taking the medication, since my psychiatrist sugested that I try stopping it. I probably will do it anyway but I wondered if someone had more infos about it.

Seeing how the medication is made to calm you down, I would think it would help more in LDing methods like WILD. Since a lot of people's problem is getting too anxious and never getting to the SP stage. As for dream recall, I really don't know. Are you using the right recall techniques when you wake up such as keeping your eyes closed and backtracking through your dream a couple of times so you can remember it?

I am a dream recall noob, I forgot to put that into consideration, along with the fact that i'm a heavy sleeper naturally without drugs. I will be sure to have it the right way before accusing my pills.
Yesterday I tried without medecine and I got a sleepless night, which had a very good chance of having a LD in it. My infenitisimal dose of harmless anti-anxiety stuff seems now less despicable after that.
