Well, I've had Lucid dreams before. None of them were anywhere near as lucid as "real" lucid dreams, but I have had them before.

Now, here's what happened to me last night:

I was trying to fall asleep. Eventually, a dream started playing in my head. Now, I'm not sure how to explain it, but I was watching myself sleep.

At this point, my dream has become something of a nightmare. It's dark, and I'm running down staircases in a HUGE building chasing these dark hooded figures. As I'm traveling down the stairs, everything slowly fades to black, the stairs fade away, and I am falling. Falling, falling, falling. I suddenly realize that I am lying in bed. I feel my entire body go numb, and I start hallucinating. I feel like I'm falling. I'm being pressed down into my bed and I can hear the air rushing/roaring past me as I fall.

My eyes are closed this entire time, because I was afraid that if I opened them that any visual hallucinations I experienced would scare me.

A few seconds into this falling experience, I freak out and start to move my fingers to wake myself up.

This is the first time that anything like this has happened to me. Can anyone describe to me in detail what was actually going on? And is there anything I should do if it happens again?
