      Lucidity and Nightmares-Problems

Okay, ever since I was little, lucidity would always result in nightmares. Whenever I tell a DC that they don't exist, or whatever, they try to kill me, and everything screws up. If I realized I was dreaming, I would be terrified, and try to go along with everything, or try to wake up. I've learned about lucid dreaming, and actually had a lucid dream a few nights ago. It was great, I was able to get away, and go to a really beautiful place. But what I'm really afraid of are fake wake-ups. Especially when I know it's fake. I know if I do the clock-check, the numbers will all be messed up, or a demon or something will come in the door. And ALL the time, my nightmares happen in the dark, and EVERY time it's dark, I usually have a nightmare. I really really want to learn to lucid dream, but I'm kind of afraid to....Any tips?

You've got to remember that dreaming is all in your mind. Nothing can or will hurt you. Fake wake-ups (False awakenings) can be a little freaky, especially when you flip the light switch and the light doesn't turn on. Just don't let yourself be afraid. You really have nothing to be afraid of (especially if you know you're dreaming.)

I know nothing can hurt me, but things can still freak the crap out of me...
