Sleep Paralysis is what it is, and you were probably going in a dream. I guess about your heart beat, you were scared or maybe that happens all the time during sleep paralysis. |

So last night i tried LDing, first time, i'm not sure if this is normal. So i had my binaural beats going, and i felt as though my presence was floating above my body, i had no feeling in my body. As i was concentrating in my head, not thinking of anything, and counting to four continuously. I feel as though im going through a portal now, and then something stops me: i can feel my heartbeat throughout my entire body, and it's going quite fast for the speed i thought i was breathing at. it felt like 2 1/2 beats per second.. Any input on this? |

When did you do this, right before going to bed or after waking up? What you experienced (strange feelings and sounds) was probably SP, sleep paralysis, which is normal when you try to WILD (I guess that's what you tried to do). It's what happens when you fall asleep, so your body won't hurt itself during sleep (though I don't know why there are hallucinations lol). You should just try to ignore SP when it happens and keep going, which might be hard sometimes because it can feel quite uncomfortable. What happened afterwards? |
|
yeah it was SP, and you woke up because you were either scared or excited. like reckoner said, just ignore it and keep going. |

Dripping time into a seed that grows into the world and sprouts a fruit that ripens into humans. They stretch up into the sky looking for purpose, wandering when and if their time has come. Realizing the potential they have, they select their paths which weave in and out to make the good and the bad, the pure and the corrupt...
ive read about SP, but i just felt my heartbeat all to well; i was able to open my eyes and get up, do some RC's and it was reality. So next time, when i feel my heartbeat going relatively faster, just go with the flow? |
|
oh. you we're about to enter dream world (i think). did you have any other sensations? |

Umm.. Well i had no feeling in my body whatsoever, but i was still swallowing (should i fight the urge and let my body do it itself?) no other sensations other than the really clear feeling of my heartbeat (i could feel my pulse throughout my entire body) and when i got up in reality, i checked my pulse, and it was going kindof fast, so i know that wasn't part of my dream. |

I think you got it right here, Flamingtaco69. 8) Just go with the flow. Remember that you sleep every night, and LDing is completely natural. You can't be harmed from your heart beat rising while in sleep paralysis. Two nights ago, I had the same thing happen. While entering sleep paralysis, my heartbeat raised to about three beats a second and my entire body felt like it was rattling. It might be scary, but you just have to get it into your head that you can't be harmed, and you'll be okay. |
|
Woah. That's the almost exact rate mine was at, and yeah it felt like rattling. Man i can't wait till i finally have my first LD |
