MILD: Listening to yourself the same as thinking to yourself??

      Hello people of DV,
I have a question relating to the basic method of inducing a MILD. I wanna know if I recorded myself saying mantras if it would have the same effect as if i was speaking them myself.I wanna know this because it takes awhile to get to sleep if your saying the mantras and listening to them and going along with it in your head would be much easier for me.
      Thanks!!

I doubt it, speaking them would be best.

Even if I focused on the words being said? it'd mean I wouldn't get sidetracked as started to fall asleep.
