      Confused about where reality was

I attained my first lucid dream after discovering about them not to long ago. this made me really happy so i flew up into the air, and out of my dream. I had a false awakening to my friends being in the room, i lost track of the dream after that.

but many times i remember waking up and not being able to move *thinking sleep paralysis* but the problem is i don't know if i was dreaming or not. and this wasn't once, i think it happened multiple times, but i only slept for 2 hours?

      Questions:

Is it normaly this confusing at first?
how do you do a RC when you can't move?
and have you ever woken up from a dream into a sleep paralysis?
have you ever not been able to move in your dream?

and any input you would like to share about making this process a little less confusing.
      thx ^.^

Yup, this has happened to me before often.

Something that works for me is trying to hold my breath. If you can hold your breath indefinitely, you are in fact dreaming
It doesn't work everytime, because if you truly think you are awake, your mind will make you gasp for air. If this happens, try to breath through your mouth while at the same time focusing on keeping your mouth closed. Might sound odd, but it works.

Try keeping your eyes open and wait until your body figures out your awake. Right after that RC.
