I am confused about reality checks?

Ok so I have heard alot about reality checks and I am kinda confused on how and when to do them? Here is what I have heard:

~ You do them as many times a day as you can
~ You do two every hour
~ YOu do them when You see something weird
      ~ Dream signs

I have decided since I am always cheated by a false lucid dream thats a fake and I want a real one.

also when i had a facke one it waslike someone was stealing it from me and did things i would never do. . .i kisseed three boys. . .i would never do that!. . .though i can't argue with it. . .

but do you do stuff you would never do in real life in false lucids?

There is no fixed way to RC. Do whatever suits your lifestyle but bare in mind the idea that the reason your doing the RC is to constantly keep taps if you are dreaming or not.

I just question strange things, like lengthy creaks, or hallucinations that you have when your tired, take apart physical possiblities, and in the end do an RC.

Sorry, double post but: That just means your mind is thinking about the subject. You are close to getting a real one.

I've never heard it called that, but a "false Lucid Dream" is when you dream of being Lucid. I think that what they mean.

I at the moment (try to) do them every time I change buildings/locations, every time I speak to someone or something happens, especially something that involves emotion or that "sweeps you away on some course of action and you forget other things", anyhow as much as possible is good- question everything! ridicule life!

      I do them when,

      a) something out of the ordinary happens, maybe slight things.

      b) When I wake up, so I wont have any false awakenings when I get the hang of this LD thing~

I think doing it all the time wont really help you to remember.
Cause then you wont do them when you're in a dream, you'll accept things for what they are instead of getting good at noticing things that can indicate you're dreaming.
