Am i dreaming or just imagining im dreaming?

Umm... is a very weird question.. i know lol xD And it kinda answers itself... Cuz dreaming is actually thinking i belive.. just more realistic..

Well ill go to the point!
Lately i feel like im not "dreaming" , im just "Thinking" ...
Today i was having a really weird dream, and i was running away from some guys and i was telling myself to do stuff.. go this way.. go that way... I KWEN it was a dream! But it was kinda cool , so i just ignored it... (Because i wanted to xD ) So i kept running trying to hide , and then i ranned out of places to hide.. and they were gona get me! so im like shit.. Game over.. And i said to myself "alright im dreaming now , i wana take control" , and then everything just... POOF... And i felt my fisical body again...

PD: i wasent nervous our exited oranything...
Maybe it fucked up because i finished the REM cycle.. But i still dont understand why the fuck my dreams are not realistic I FEEL LIKE I JUST CLOSED MY EYES AND STARTED THINKING ABOUT THAT , I DONT GET THE FEELING OF "DREAMING" T.T

      HEEELP!

This happens very often lately :S ! And my dreams are not realistic liek they use to be!

When you're learning to attatin lucidity in a dream it seems to be pretty common to have the dream come apart. You can find a lot of good info on it scattered on this website, but the short form is that the minute you think "I'm dreaming," you want to do a few things to stabalize the dream. Rub your hands together, or touch things around you, to anchor yourself physically in the dream. Then turn in a slow circle, looking around the room. The idea here is that you're forcing your brain to "render" the room completely, focusing it on the dream.

It also helps (for me at least) to start with babysteps. When being chased by a dark figure in a lucid, for example, I wasn't able to simply change the hallway I was in with a snap of the finger. However when he got close I told him to climb out the nearest window and not come back. So that's what he did. To me the difference seems to be taking control in a small way, not trying to totally reboot and reset the dream.

But try not to get too frustrated. It can take a lot of practice before you can keep yourself in the LD. First work on doing reality checks and achieving lucidity. Then work on taking control and influencing small factors. Then move on from there as you get better at it.

Don't get me wrong , i've had 10 ld so far... and almost an astral voyage ...
I was going in a car and everything got just too real , i felt how i accelerated and and the gravity of when u jump whit a car...

But what im tryiing to say... is that i didnt get the chance to do ANYTHING i said im dreaming and i woke up , like whne it used to happen when i was learning to have my first LD , that i would get too happy and wake up.
Is like a though , not a dream u know what i mean?
When you notice ur dreaming... you feel like ur in another place, your in another world diferent to the phisical one
And when i dream lately i feel like "Fragil" and i dont feel like in the "Dream World", i just feel like im imagining everything sitting down in the middle of class day dreaming...

It sounds as if you are not seeing the dream clearly. Does it look foggy? I come across dreams like this, and they are not get very clear until I do some reality checks. The more I feel around the clearer the dream becomes. Just a thought.

Yeah for me reaility checks dont make the dream clearer I give myself a command such as "Increase Lucidity now" for me anyway it sounds and feels as if ive got a second pair of eyelids and they open to reveal a crystal clear world hope this helps.

Hm... have you tried focusing your attention to sensations? For example, stop focusing on the story of the dream, or the situations, go to the nearest thing that has a somewhat rough texture to it and rub your hand across it. Place your attention on the feeling of rubbing your hand against the surface, and focus mostly on that so it boosts it's realism. This alone has made a foggy dream crystal clear, but if it doesn't clear things up (but it feels real) start adding other senses, like smell, etc. I read somewhere (probably on here, actually) that you should fall backwards to awaken your sense of balance which helps boost realism.

I have had dreams like you are describing before (albeit not that many, and I never got lucid control in them (I have had 1 or 2 where I was lucid, but not in control)), so I can't talk from experience on how to improve that specific kind of dream. But try what I said above, and I am sure it will boost your clarity, at least a little. It is the realism that makes you feel like you are somewhere else, so if you don't have that realism, but you have the realization it is a dream, it won't be all that impressive of an experience which is probably why you get that feeling you have been getting.
