      Another helpful herb...

Hey well I've been giving LDing a break, and only recently decided to start it again... Well I've foudn something that might be helpful, too. Anyone tried camomile tea? Neither had I until a coupld of days ago when I found some in the back of the pantry.

Anyways it makes your whole body relaxed and makes you feel sleepy... so I figured that it would be helpful for lucid dreaming in some way... I know that if I ever have one of those nights when I just can't sleep, I'll have some of this camamile stuff. It also works for more than one night... I drank some in the afternoon and had a much sounder sleep that night.

Well I haven't really seen it mentioned on this site before, and I think it could help people who are having a hard time sleeping, and I'm going to try and use it to help me relax for a WILD and stop me twitching etc, although it might just make me fall asleep without WILDing...

Tell me what you think if you try it.

I drink Chamomile all the time. It's safe, cheap, and quite tasty! Whether it helps DILD's, I doubt it. But I imagine it might be helpful for folks trying to WILD like Roller said.

One thing though, it's such a mild herb that it's easy to build a tolerance to. If you drink it every day, the sedative effects become less potent.

      Chamomile tastes good.

But it is melatonin's little baby sister if you want something that will make you naturally sleepy.

A resistence huh? Well I guess that stands to reason... I found the effects to be like Kava-Kava, but much milder. Maybe I will only drink it when I'm having sleeping problems then.

      Chamomile

Take a look at herb information on chamomlie.

Also the Pharmacy as a lot of useful herb information.

I prefer Coca. It can be made into a tea or chewed. It has the same relaxing effects and it's very good for your body:

"Studies have established that traditional coca consumption increases tolerance for physical labor; helps the lungs to absorb more oxygen; helps to prevent the aggregation of platelets in the blood, resulting in a lower risk of thrombosis; and helps regulate the level of insulin in the body. (The Coca Museum, Hurtado and Silva). The coca leaf is a rich source of vitamins A and C, as well as calcium, iron, fiber, protein and calories. Coca is no more addictive than coffee and there is no proof that the consumption of the coca leaf is detrimental to one’s health. (Mama Coca, La Coca No Es Cocaína)."

Also, the Andean natives say that Coca leaf was given to them by the great spirits and Mother Earth and to them it is one of the most sacred things in the world and helps them to be closer to the spiritual realm and enlightenment. And most of the time, the things that these cultures have been doing for millenia are better than the modern fads.

One problem with what you said. Coca is illegal and chamomile isn't. Plus chamomile is a relaxing herb
and coca is a stimulant. Coca is also a tropical plant that most of you are highly unlikely to get your hands on.
The active chemical in coca is cocaine. How is that going to help dreaming?

I occasionally drink a tea with chamomile, valerian root, passion flower, and scullcap.
It definately has a nice relaxing effect.

I drank 'bout six cups of chammomile tea yesturday (strep throat, but I don't have any medical insurance, so I drink gallons of hot tea and honey and take a craptillion echinechia(sp) capsules) and I did go lucid last night.

I'm not sure it was the tea, persay, but hay... it never hurtz to try.

A belief is merely a repetitive thought.
A conclusion is simply where you stopped thinking.
