High Dream Recall, Low Lucid Dreams

It's strange. My dream recall is in it's highs this week (24 dreams until today with more day left). My week average is 14 dreams/week (two dream per night). Right now I'm recalling 4-5 dreams per night. I did nothing different; that's happened naturally.

In the other hand my LDs are starting to take longer days to come back. Since late february I had 5 lucid dreams and the distance between then (in days) are becoming apart, as you can see below:

lucid date - distance (in days) since my last LD
      ----------- -----------------------------------------
      28/03/2005 - 11
      17/03/2005 - 9
      08/03/2005 - 8
      28/02/2005 - 0 <- 2 in the same night
      28/02/2005 - 7

Today is the 11th day since my last LD. So its a new (bad/low) record, since I started studying lucid dreaming. :-(

Can someone give me an advice? Why I can see my dream recall getting better but my LD getting worst?

You've got a great record going for you! That's a lot of LD's, and very frequently. How long have you been LD'ing, and are you a natural?

Anyway, there may or may not be a reason for it.
Have you shifted your diet significantly lately?
Are you using the same methods to achieve LD's as you have in the past, or are the all naturally-induced?

Another tip, if your confidence has been affected by the lack of LD's, that's most likely the reason for the continued streak. Just go to sleep, and LD. Don't make it too complicated, and don't think about it. Thinking is doubt's friend, and doubt is LDing's enemy. There's a time to plan things out consciously, and a time to not worry and just let things flow.

I'm studying LD since january, 6th, 2005, almost 3 months. I'm not a natural, I just stick to the challenge. I'm algo thing I had a good beginners luck.

My diet did not change. I'm a vegetarian for almost 2 years and I eat regularly and did not chage my diet substancially. I use MILD, reality checks and my dream journal.

Yes, this is what I'm trying to do right now. There was nights that I just did not do MILD, just let go, think a little bit of LD and sleep. I tried to do not take thinks too seriously and see if it helps induce more LD.

In one of my last dreams I search for my dream journal. I did not become lucid, but I think it's a improvement.

Also my dream recall is very good. I had 30 dream last week and my average in the past weeks was around 15 dreams...

Thanks for the warm words! :-)

Well, looks like everything's in order, so I can't imagine why you shouldn't start having LD's again soon. Just make sure you don't get stressed or frustrated (exercising an hour or so before bed could help relieve stress) and keep working on MILD and don't forget to keep up the dream journal, and you should be LD'ing again soon.

      Good luck!
