      First Time..

Ive known about lucid dreaming for a year or so, since i started getting Sleep Paralysis all the time and Googled it because i hadn't heard of it before.

anyway i hadn't tried lucid dreaming lucid dreaming before. untill recently, and i had a rather bad experience. i was running through a schoolyard and there were kids playing everywhere and i seemed to be chasing someone, then i stopped looked at my hands and realised i was dreaming, and became lucid. and as soon as that happened the edges of everything became blurred and everyone in the dream suddenly stopped and started running towards me.. (sort of inception like). and i seemed to not be able to stop them from doing so and i woke myself up. i tried again and the same sort of thing keeps happening, is there any way to stop it?

Welcome to the forums, if you are lucid you can do literally anything. If people are charging at you why not fly away, create a barrier somehow, blast them away, use anything you want. Your dream world is yours, you can do anything you want with it.

Yeah it might take some practice to change the dream but you can always try and fly away or just tell them to stop running at you. I've had lucid where I would have a bad dream before a lucid one, and when I became lucid I got a bad vibe and kept waking myself up. But I could have changed the dream but my mind was already set that the lucid was going to be scary.
Every passing minute is another chance to turn it all around.

This is interesting and I take it this is something you saw in Inception and it worked its way into your own expectations of the dreamworld. Keep in mind, whatever you expect to happen, whatever it is, no matter how incredible will happen during the lucidity state. So in this case, just expect a different outcome, such as everyone going about their business and every one will..
